Palliative Care Increasing for Patients with DLBCL, But Disparities ‘Striking’
A recent Healio article highlights findings from a study showing that palliative care use among patients with diffuse large B‑cell lymphoma (DLBCL) has increased, but major disparities persist. Researchers found that white patients received palliative care consultations three times more often than Black patients and over twice as often as Hispanic patients. The study also found that patients treated at urban teaching hospitals were significantly more likely to receive palliative care than those treated in rural clinics.
