Melissa Scholl

Melissa Scholl is Chief Marketing and Communications Officer at the Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC). In this role, she leads brand strategy and integrated marketing campaigns for an organization serving 1,700 institutional members and more than 150,000 health care professionals nationwide. Since joining CAPC in 2016 and advancing through successive leadership roles, Ms. Scholl has led the marketing strategy behind nationally visible initiatives, including the Serious Illness Scorecard and Project Tipping Point. Her team's work has been recognized with two ASAE Gold Circle Awards, a PRSA Silver Anvil Award, and multiple MarCom and Davey Awards.

Ms. Scholl also serves as Event Director for the CAPC National Seminar, leading all aspects of the organization's biennial conference for 800 palliative care professionals, including program design, logistics, marketing, sponsorship, and budget oversight.

She brings to CAPC a career built entirely in mission-driven organizations. Prior to joining CAPC, she held senior marketing and program leadership roles at Young Survival Coalition and Bright Pink, both national non-profits focused on young adults living with cancer, as well as earlier positions at the New York City Opera.

Ms. Scholl holds a BS in Human and Consumer Sciences from Ohio University.
