Overview

ACCESS (Addressing Cancer Care Equity through Supportive Services) is a community-based, navigator-led program designed to connect Black and Latina women with metastatic breast cancer to early supportive palliative care. Developed through a five-year NCI-funded research partnership, the intervention was co-designed with patients, caregivers, clinicians, and community advisors to address unmet supportive care needs and improve access to palliative care. The program is currently being evaluated to assess its feasibility and impact on symptom burden and cancer-related distress.
