Learn about new tools, resources, and virtual events on capc.org

CAPC is constantly creating new products—and updating existing ones—to ensure you have the best tools and technical assistance to do your job. Here's an update about what we've done in November 2025.

New Resources

Caregiver Support Initiative

The number of caregivers in the U.S. continues to grow, just as the impact on their well-being intensifies. CAPC’s Caregiver Support Initiative is working to disseminate best practices among health care organizations across the country. Explore new guidance and learning opportunities:

Caring for Asian American and Pacific Islander Patients with Serious Illness

Guidance for clinicians on providing palliative care to Asian American and Pacific Islander (APPI) patients, addressing health disparities, language, and cultural factors.

Medicare Telehealth Billing Updates

During the COVID-19 Public Health Emergency (PHE), Medicare implemented broad flexibilities to ensure access to care via telehealth. These included coverage for patients at home, expanded provider eligibility, audio-only visits, and payment parity. Congress extended these flexibilities multiple times, but most expired on September 30, 2025. Unless new legislation extends them further, Medicare is reverting to pre-PHE statutory rules.

CAPC National Seminar 2025: Highlight Reel

The CAPC National Seminar 2025 brought together palliative care professionals to network, connect, and attend a diverse array of sessions designed to advance high-quality, equitable palliative care. Watch the highlight reel and revisit the energy, ideas, and connections from the event—and see if you’re featured.

Shape Research on Serious Illness Care: Dartmouth and the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) Study

Join an online research study focused on making health research more inclusive, meaningful, and centered on what really matters to patients, families, and communities. By taking part, you can help them learn what it’s like to be a partner on a research team, and what helps people feel truly heard and respected in the process. They’re especially interested in hearing from people with personal or professional experience in children’s and teens’ mental health, cancer screening, or serious illness.

Updated Resources

Home-Based Palliative Care Program Design Toolkit

This updated toolkit is organized into six sections, each building on the previous one. The courses listed first in each section provide a framework for how to use the tools and resources that follow. Additional toolkits may be linked within each section, and the resources they contain offer valuable support for designing your home-based palliative care program.
