Danielle DiGennaro is an adult nurse practitioner with a robust background in hospice and palliative nursing, as well as progressive leadership and extensive clinical experience. Ms. DiGennaro was initially exposed to end-of-life care while working in advanced heart failure and cardiac transplant at Duke University Medical Center. During a cross-country move, she landed at Sutter Health where she helped launch a new outpatient palliative care site. Following this, Ms. DiGennaro moved to Haven Medical Group in Gainesville, FL where she initially led one of the hospice home territories and 16-bed care center and ultimately started both community and inpatient palliative care services for the large rural non-profit hospice. More recently, Ms. DiGennaro relocated to the Midwest, where she led a large, mature, community hospice-led palliative care program. She is active in HPNA and NHPCO, where she serves on the Palliative Care Council.
