Chelsea Heneghan, MSN, CNP (she/her)

Chelsea Heneghan is a Nurse Practitioner and Director of Clinical Operations for the Pediatric Advanced Care Team (PACT) at Boston Children’s Hospital and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. She has worked in pediatric palliative care since 2018, following several years of clinical experience as both a bedside nurse and nurse practitioner caring for children with cancer and those undergoing stem cell transplantation. Her background in pediatric oncology shaped her commitment to integrating palliative care alongside disease-directed treatment and improving the experience of children and families living with serious illness.

In her role with PACT, Chelsea provides interdisciplinary pediatric palliative care across inpatient and outpatient settings, partnering with patients, families, and medical teams to support symptom management, communication, decision-making, and quality of life. As Director of Clinical Operations, she focuses on strengthening the systems and infrastructure needed to support a growing interdisciplinary team and expanding clinical program, leading operational initiatives, developing standardized workflows, and advancing quality and safety efforts.

In 2025, Chelsea completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice and Master of Business Administration at Johns Hopkins University, building on her MS in Nursing from Columbia University and BA from Colby College. Her professional interests include pediatric palliative care program development, serious illness communication, quality improvement, healthcare operations, and advancing the role and impact of nurse practitioners in healthcare, particularly pediatric palliative care.
