*The Palliative Care Program Manager will play a significant role in developing and growing our Outpatient Palliative care services in addition to managing Inpatient Palliative Care
* Collaborates with the Director in planning, goal setting, developing department budgets and coordinating supplies/equipment
* Supervises the department's daily operations
*Ensures staff have appropriate orientation and training competence and will be supportive through training, coaching, developing and evaluating staff performance.
*Supports quality initiatives through collection and analysis of quality and performance improvement data
*As a Nurse Practitioner, provides routine care and management of the patient with acute and chronic complaints in collaboration with the supervising physician
Must have a minimum of two years of experience in palliative care. Two years of management experience in an acute care hospital, health system, comparable health setting or a strong leadership role that supports the manager traits as described in the position summary is required. Demonstrated strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills is required.
As required for state of CA license as an RN and certified nurse practitioner.
Current RN licensure and a registered professional nurse who is authorized by California to practice as a nurse practitioner in accordance with California law and be certified as a nurse practitioner by a recognized a national certifying body that has established standards for nurse practitioners. A furnishing license issued by the Board of Registered Nursing and a current DEA number from the United States Drug Enforcement Administration for schedule II-IV controlled substances is required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS is required. Palliative Care certification required. Current valid driver's license and functional transportation are required.
