Job Overview
Dayton Children’s Hospital is seeking a full-time Pediatric Palliative Care Physician Leader to serve as Division Chief of Pediatric Palliative Care. This is a unique opportunity to lead, grow, and transform a comprehensive pediatric palliative care program at a mission-driven children’s hospital known for excellence, collaboration, and heart.
We are seeking a physician with strong clinical expertise, excellent communication skills, and a passion for leadership, mentorship, and program development. This role is ideal for a candidate looking to build a long-term leadership career within a highly collaborative and supportive pediatric health system.
Position Highlights
• Lead and expand the Pediatric Palliative Care program across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide compassionate, family-centered care for children with serious illness

• Mentor and support learners, faculty, and interdisciplinary team members
• Participate in teaching opportunities through the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine

Candidate Qualifications
• Completion of an ACGME-accredited Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pediatric Hospice and Palliative Medicine
• Eligible for or able to obtain an unrestricted Ohio medical license
• MD or DO candidates will be considered
• Demonstrated leadership ability or strong interest in program development and mentorship
• Excellent communication skills and desire for a long-term, stable leadership role
Our physicians hold faculty appointments at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine and educate medical students, residents, fellows, hospital staff, and community professionals. Residents in pediatrics, medicine/pediatrics, family medicine, emergency medicine, surgery, orthopedics, child psychiatry, and other specialties train at Dayton Children’s.
