About the Role
As a Palliative Care Nurse Practitioner, you’ll provide compassionate, patient-centered care in an inpatient-only setting, collaborating closely with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
Schedule & Workload
• Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
• Inpatient only
• Average 3–8 patients per day
What You’ll Do
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and evaluations
• Develop and implement individualized, outcomes-based treatment plans
• Prescribe and manage medications and therapeutic interventions
• Counsel patients and families with empathy and clarity
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams
• Provide consultation-level specialty care
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
• Perform procedures within scope and competency as delegated

Required Qualifications
• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
• Licensed RN and APRN in Texas (or RN Compact license with Texas APRN)
• Current Nurse Practitioner license in Texas
• Board certification as an APRN for patient population focus
• BLS certification within 30 days of hire
• Less than 1 year of NP experience required
