Medical Director – Hospice & Palliative Care
Location: Kansas | Schedule: Full-Time

Midland Care is seeking a compassionate and visionary Medical Director to lead our Hospice & Palliative Care Division. This physician leader will guide our interdisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families navigating serious illness and end-of-life transitions. This role is responsible for the medical oversight of hospice and palliative services, ensuring exceptional clinical outcomes, adherence to quality standards, and alignment with our mission of whole-person care. The Medical Director will work across all Midland Care programs as needed and serve as a physician leader and subject matter expert in palliative medicine and hospice philosophy.
What You’ll Do
• Provide and oversee compassionate care for hospice and palliative patients.
• Lead the clinical team in care planning, symptom management, and end-of-life decision-making.
• Validate hospice eligibility and ensure compliance with care standards.
• Serve as a liaison with referring providers and community partners.
• Guide and mentor mid-level providers and participate in on-call coverage.
What We’re Looking For
• MD or DO, licensed to practice medicine.
• Experience in hospice, palliative care, or serious illness management (2+ years).
• Strong collaboration skills and a deep belief in patient-centered care.
• Board certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine preferred.
