Description

The Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join the inpatient Palliative Care Program as a Clinical Coordinator for its Advanced Practice Provider (APP) group.

The APP Clinical Coordinator will provide direct supervision of APPs on the Palliative Care team, including scheduling, payroll management, and performance review, as well as serving as a clinical resource for direct reports. The Clinical Coordinator will partner with members of the interdisciplinary Palliative Care leadership team to support and optimize daily operations, productivity, quality initiatives, and team wellness.

In addition to administrative duties, the Clinical Coordinator will serve as a core member of the Palliative Care consultant team. This includes providing expert symptom management and guiding crucial discussions with patients and families to promote a personalized, comprehensive care plan that aligns with patient goals.

Additional Information: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm - No weekends or on-call requirements.

Minimum Requirements:
▪ Master’s prepared Nurse Practitioner with Acute Care certification
▪ Current Pennsylvania license (or eligible to obtain)
▪ A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider in the acute care setting
▪ Training/experience in palliative care, hospice, or geriatrics
▪ Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role
▪ Candidates should possess strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with a wide variety of medical and surgical services
