The Department of Internal Medicine's Division of General, Geriatric, and Palliative Medicine is pleased to announce our search for Palliative Care Physicians to join our expanding team. Responsibilities may include co-managing and attending on a busy palliative consult service and hospice unit, facilitation of one or more outpatient clinics, and the education of trainees. Opportunities for funded research may be available. Rank and salary are commensurate with qualifications and experience. 

The Charlottesville and Central Virginia area offers an excellent community for both personal and professional activities. A strong sense of community exists in the region, along with excellent educational systems for adults and children. Charlottesville is located in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains and is listed among the top cities in the national rankings of the most desirable places to live. Charlottesville is within easy driving distance of Washington, DC., the coastal regions of Virginia, and the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

Qualifications

Individuals must have an MD and be board-certified or board-eligible in Palliative Medicine. Experience in palliative consult services is preferred.
