Description

Valley Medical Center (VMC) is actively recruiting an inpatient Palliative Care Physician – per diem to work with our established, collaborative, and collegial team of providers. Our approach to patient-centered care is team-based.

About the position:
Shift length: 10-hours
Number of shifts per month: 4-12
Primarily looking for weekday coverage, some weekend possible
7-9 patients per day
Works with an interdisciplinary team, including other physicians, ARNPs, a social worker, and a chaplain
Opportunity to teach Valley Family Medicine residents
Qualifications:
BE/BC in Hospice & Palliative Medicine required
Ability to obtain medical professional license in the State of WA and DEA with full prescriptive authority
Preferred Qualifications:
Palliative Care Fellowship training recommended
1-3 years’ experience in inpatient Palliative Care setting
Able to build collaborative relationships and provide education to colleagues and patients
Compensation: $145-$155 per hour
