Description
Responsible for the day-to-day management and coordination of the Hospice House and ensures continuity, cost effectiveness, quality of operations and regulatory compliant care to hospice-eligible patients meeting criteria for General Inpatient (GIP) level of care. Will develop and manage financial resources according to budget and revenue projections. Participates and assists in provision of educational and public relations activities to the community and professionals. Capable of acting as a liaison, developing and maintaining business relationships with physicians, hospital staff, discharge planners, vendors, community agencies and other referral sources. Responsible for the hiring, orientation and development of staff. Responsible for assuring adequate staffing 24/7.
Graduate of an approved school of nursing with a current North Carolina RN license or RN multi-state licensure privilege through the Nurse Licensure Compact. BSN with health service administration, business administration or equivalent experience preferred. Minimum of three (3) years experience as a registered nurse with one (1) of these years consisting of full-time experience in providing direct patient care. Two (2) years previous health care management experience required. Knowledge of regulatory requirements as they pertain to hospice services preferred. National Certification (CHPN) required after completion of 2 years of hospice practice.
