Academic Hospice and Palliative Medicine Physician
Assistant/Associate Professor

The Department of Family Medicine at The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont and The University of Vermont Medical Center invites applications for a board certified or eligible Hospice and Palliative Medicine physician to join our dynamic and growing academic Division of Palliative Medicine.

The successful candidate will:
• assume and mature the Hospice Medical Director Role for the University of Vermont Home Health & Hospice
• care for patients and families receiving inpatient hospice care at the Miller McClure Respite House and those receiving home hospice and palliative care services in home settings
• demonstrate outstanding communication skills in interpersonal, clinical, and teaching settings
• enhance the Division's focus on Excellence in Communication quality, innovation, training, scholarship and research

This position is split between two sites: University of Vermont Home Health & Hospice in Colchester, VT (80%, clinical and administrative duties of the Hospice Medical Director role and clinical duties for inpatient hospice and home-based hospice/palliative care services) and University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, VT (20%, academic duties). The clinical appointment will be at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Clinical Scholar pathway; commensurate with experience.
