Snowline, a non-profit community-based organization, has enjoyed record-breaking growth over the last 10 years and is continuing its upward expansion. This solid and highly respected Hospice and Palliative Care organization is seeking a distinguished and dynamic executive to serve as Chief Executive Officer. This is a unique opportunity to join the leadership team of one of the fastest growing Hospice and Palliative Care Organizations in Northern California.
The successful candidate will be an accomplished leader, driving his/her team to increasing levels of performance. He/she will report to the Board of Directors and is responsible for successful management of Snowline’s financial viability, patient care, retail thrift operations, and employee/volunteer morale consistent with the organization’s mission, vision, and core values. He/she will have extensive leadership experience with not-for-profit organizations and in the Hospice and Palliative Care industry. A proven track record with fiscal, management, communication and interpersonal skills, along with a genuine passion for serving patients, families, staff, and volunteers is required.
A BS/BA in business, finance, administration, or health administration OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Masters with relevant experience strongly preferred.
Experience in Hospice & Palliative Care or similar.
Accomplished leader possessing a transformational leadership style.
Proven track record at the senior organizational level of the healthcare industry that includes strategic leadership and planning, fund development and marketing, operational oversight, and team building.
Demonstrated competency in strategic planning and business development.
Working knowledge of data analysis and performance/operations metrics.
Excellent interpersonal and public speaking skills.
Fundraising experience preferred.
Snowline was established in 1979 and is dedicated to meeting the unique physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those living with chronic illness or nearing the end of life’s journey. Snowline’s hospice, palliative care, and supportive care programs enhance the living, comfort the dying, and support the grieving with compassion and dignity. The care provided to patients and families is carried out by a Snowline interdisciplinary team of professionals that includes physicians, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, licensed vocational nurses, medical social workers, spiritual care providers, hospice aides and volunteers. Many of Snowline’s dedicated staff have earned their certification in Hospice and Palliative Care, which is an advanced level of education in the field.
Snowline serves the Western Slope of El Dorado County and the Greater Sacramento Region, including Sacramento, Folsom, Roseville, Granite Bay, Fair Oaks, Carmichael, and Rancho Cordova. The Hospice and Palliative Care programs continue to grow each year. In 2019, Snowline provided services to over 1,288 patients.
