Job Summary/Purpose: The Pediatric Palliative Care Bereavement Coordinator reports to the Palliative Care Program Coordinator. Under limited supervision, the Palliative Care Bereavement Coordinator leads the development and delivery of comprehensive grief and bereavement support services for patients (including perinatal), families, staff, and the community with the goal of promoting a positive coping experience around grief and loss.

Minimum Training and Education: Master’s degree and one-year of experience or Bachelor’s degree and three years of experience. Prior Bereavement experience preferred. Licensed and certified candidates in their respective fields (Nursing, Social Work, Clinical Pastoral Care and Child Life) preferred. Based on specialty, certification may be required within two years. Candidate must have strong communication skills and demonstrated excellent performance in interdisciplinary team settings. Candidate must have strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft programs.
