Fulltime position, Monday-Friday. Position supports the Mayo Clinic Health System-Mankato Hospital, palliative care patients. Under the supervision of a social worker who meets state required standards, provides psychotherapy, counseling, and other services in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams. The social worker may also coordinate patient discharge planning, complies with required standards for medical/legal responsibilities, and serves as a resource to other allied and administrative staff within the Section of Social Work.
Licensure Requirement: Minnesota: Licensure at the Licensed Graduate Social Work (LGSW) or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Work (LICSW) level from the Minnesota Board of Social Work (MNBOSW) is required. LGSW/LICSW personnel following 4000 hours of clinically supervised practice are eligible to apply for licensure at the LICSW level, and must do so by 8000 hours. A condition of employment at the LGSW level shall be the ability to practice clinically through a MNBOSW approved Clinical Supervision Plan leading to LICSW attainment.
