The Joint Commission Issues New Quick Safety Advisory on Palliative Care
This week, The Joint Commission released a Quick Safety advisory (issue 66) about palliative care, which aims to help hospitals provide the most appropriate care to seriously ill patients visiting the emergency department. The advisory provides four actions to help address the needs of this patient population, to provide them with the best possible and safe care in a timely manner with palliative care.
