Authors sought to learn about operational features of 50+ pediatric palliative care programs across the country, using registry data.

CAPC's Maggie Rogers, MPH, director of research, was a lead author in a paper published in the most recent issue of Pediatrics. The paper describes 54 inpatient pediatric palliative care programs in US hospitals, which provide care to infants and children with variable program operations and structure (e.g., staffing, number of patients). Per the authors, "the study affirms the need for updated program standards and guidelines, as well as research that describes how different care delivery models impact outcomes for patients, families, staff, and health care systems."
