Palliative Care and Hospice Education and Training Act (PCHETA) Reintroduced in the Senate
Yesterday, U.S. Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI) and Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) reintroduced the Palliative Care and Hospice Education Training Act (PCHETA) in the Senate. PCHETA, S. 2243 is a bipartisan bill that will make a difference in the lives of millions of patients living with a serious illness, and their families. If passed, PCHETA will create and promote education programs to expand the palliative care professional workforce, support research on palliative care interventions and delivery, and implement a public awareness campaign to educate the public on palliative care and its benefits.
