New Resources
Leadership Training for Palliative Care and Geriatrics Professionals
The new Leadership Training for Palliative Care and Geriatrics Professionals curriculum provides current and aspiring leaders with the skills necessary to lead with confidence, advocate strategically, and build sustainable programs. Designed for palliative care and geriatrics professionals at various stages of their leadership journey, this program offers practical training, tools, and insights to help learners grow into the leaders our patients urgently need.
CAPC members earn free continuing education credits (for physicians, nurses, social workers, and case managers). Free ABIM Maintenance of Certification (MOC) credits are also available for physicians.
INCITE Training Program: Request for Applications Now Open
The Increasing Caregiver Support Implementation through Training and Education (INCITE) program is a new national training initiative led by nationally recognized caregiver experts. Hosted by the University of Alabama at Birmingham and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, the program will provide two trainings each year for competitively selected interprofessional teams at U.S. cancer centers. Applications close January 15, 2026.
Sample Diagnoses Codes to Identify Patients Living with Serious Illness
Population health entities can use this list to proactively identify people with potentially unmet palliative care needs. Additional screening will be necessary.
