Medicare Accelerated and Advanced Payments in Response to COVID-19

Updated May 18, 2020 | By CAPC Staff

CMS is making early payments available to Medicare facilities and agencies, helping to ease immediate cash flow issues.

To help health care organizations with cash flow during the COVID-19 emergency, CMS has initiated an application process for accelerated and advanced payments, with repayment delayed for up to a year in some cases. Existing hospitals, hospices, medical groups, and other Part A and Part B providers in good standing are eligible, and can apply via their Medicare Administrative Contractor. See this Medicare Fact Sheet for more information.
