Medical School Launches Palliative Care Curriculum Focused on Caring for Patients with Serious Illness
This month, the Perelman School of Medicine (PSOM) at the University of Pennsylvania announced its new four-year curriculum that aims to teach medical students how to effectively communicate with, support, and care for patients living with serious illness. Additionally, there are new efforts across PSOM to support palliative care education, such as summer internships for students with backgrounds that are underrepresented or historically excluded from medicine.
