Inside the Launch of The Surgical Palliative Care Society
As announced in General Surgery News, a new palliative care subspecialty has been formalized with the launch of the Surgical Palliative Care Society (SPCS). Per the founding clinicians, the SPCS is an "interdisciplinary professional forum dedicated to 'integrating high-quality palliative medicine principles and practices into the care of surgical patients through mentorship, education, research, quality improvement and advocacy.'"
