Home-Based Palliative Care Team Perspectives on Challenges in Patient Referral and Enrollment
In an paper published in the Journal of Pain and Symptom Management, authors Susan Enguidanos, PhD, et al. discussed the findings of their qualitative study, which elicited perspectives of home-based palliative care providers and administrators. They found that there are significant challenges in identifying and enrolling patients in home-based palliative care (HBPC), despite increased funding and demonstrated benefits.
