Health Care Professionals Advance Equity for Black Patients with Serious Illness
The Center to Advance Palliative Care (CAPC) has been profiled on The Arthur Vining Davis Foundations (AVDF) website about our health equity initiative, Project Equity. The goal of this initiative is to create paths and tools the palliative care field can use to effectuate meaningful change that will reduce the inequities experienced by traditionally marginalized communities. The first part of the grant was its environmental scan, which was funded jointly by AVDF, the Commonwealth Foundation, and The John A. Hartford Foundation. We were recently awarded a follow-up grant by AVDF to continue Project Equity through education and national dissemination of resources that will increase access for Black Americans to quality palliative care.
