Response: Challenges of Promoting Uniformity in Programs Within a Health Care System
In a letter to the editor, published in the Journal of Palliative Medicine, Maggie M. Rogers, et al. respond to an article, reinforcing the "need for a palliative care registry that not only provides teams with data for internal quality improvement and external benchmarking, but also connects program structure and performance to outcomes that matter."
The solution? The new Palliative Care Quality Collaborative (PCQC), which
"combines three leading national palliative care registries to provide a single, coordinated, and comprehensive resource to measure, benchmark, and improve the quality of palliative care delivery."
