Virtual Workshops on Optimizing Buprenorphine for Pain and Substance Use Disorder in Patients with Serious Illness

CAPC's new case-based virtual clinical workshop, Optimizing Buprenorphine for Pain and Substance Use Disorder in Patients with Serious Illness: A Case-Based Approach, provides practical guidance on using buprenorphine to manage pain in patients living with both serious illness and substance use disorder. The workshop will cover:
- An overview of buprenorphine and how to take advantage of its unique pharmacology for patients with substance use disorder
- The complexities of managing acute pain while on buprenorphine
- Evidence-based dosing, with guidance on opioid rotations to and from buprenorphine
- Practical tips on effective prescriptions and navigating buprenorphine access
The workshop concludes with an open question and answer session for clinicians to ask about all aspects of buprenorphine and share clinical experiences.
CAPC membership is NOT required, but members receive discounted registration.
