Silvia Mejia, MDiv

Silva Mejia is the Senior Member Relations Associate at CAPC, supporting members throughout their journey and helping them maximize the value of their membership. She partners closely with all hospital, cancer center, and dialysis center CAPC members to align tools and resources with the needs and goals of their organizations, creating a positive member experience and strengthening CAPC’s member network.

Silvia brings nearly a decade of experience across health care and community-based organizations. Most recently, she served as Program Manager at FPWA, overseeing a network of 170 human services and faith-based member organizations throughout New York City. In this role, she led grant administration and capacity-building initiatives while training providers on implementing person-centered and trauma-informed care models.

Previously, Silvia worked as a Chaplain at Mount Sinai Downtown and NewYork-Presbyterian Columbia University Irving Medical Center, delivering clinical care across outpatient, oncology, pediatric, and intensive care settings. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, she also designed and launched a virtual grief support program at Mount Sinai to expand access to community care for families and loved ones. She also put her passion for staff support and workforce wellness into action and actively contributed to expanding Mount Sinai Health System’s Take10 staff support program.

Silvia holds a Master of Divinity from Harvard Divinity School and a Bachelor of Arts in Religion with a minor in Sociology from Emory University. She lives in the Bronx with her wife and their two cats, Rumi and Chiquita.
