Kari Degerness, MBA, LNHA

As the Senior Manager of Member Relations, Kari oversees member engagement and work to ensure members can fully utilize CAPC offerings.  More specifically, Kari will work closely with CAPC's health system, health plan, and disruptor members. She will collaborate with enterprise-level decision makers to align CAPC resources with their organizational goals and initiatives. 

Kari brings over 15 years of healthcare leadership experience, most recently serving as Director of Health Care Programs at the Center for Improving Value in Health Care (CIVHC). In that role, she launched new service lines, led statewide initiatives on advanced care planning, and managed strategic partnerships with health systems, payers, and state agencies. Her background also includes executive leadership at senior living and skilled nursing facilities where she focused on improving care delivery, staff development, and resident satisfaction. 

Kari earned her MBA from the University of Denver and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Management and Long-Term Care Administration from Concordia College. She resides in Denver, CO with her pup, Bjorn. She is also an avid baker.
