Edward Peñate, DMin, BCC

Dr. Peñate is a palliative care chaplain at Northwestern Medicine in Chicago. He is a Board-Certified Chaplain with a Doctor of Ministry from Union Theological Seminary in the City of New York. He is a PhD in Palliative Care (PC) student at the University of Maryland Baltimore and a recipient of the Sojourns Scholar Leadership Award from the Cambia Health Foundation.

Dr. Peñate is dedicated to educating healthcare professionals in primary and specialty-level PC, particularly spiritual care. His current scholarly projects include Miracle Literacy Training for clinicians, Screening for Religious/Spiritual (R/S) Struggles by PC clinicians, and VITALTalk for Chaplains.
