Chelsey Labadie, MSN, RN, CHPN
Chelsey Labadie, MSN, RN, CHPN® obtained her BSN from the University of Tampa in 2010 and later earned her MSN with a focus in Leadership & Management from Walden University in 2021. Her nursing career began in Acute Care Neurology, where she honed her clinical skills before expanding her experience into Long-Term Acute Care and Urgent Care settings. However, it was in her role as a Hospice RN Case Manager where Chelsey discovered her true calling: caring for patients and their families through serious illness and the end-of-life journey. Her work in hospice deepened her compassion for those facing life-limiting conditions and solidified her commitment to palliative care.
Driven to further develop her professional career while sharing her passion for palliative care with others, Chelsey pursued her MSN, which led to a role as Clinical Specialist at an NCI Designated Cancer Center. She contributed to the development of a Palliative Care Nurse Education Committee, which served as a platform for the developing role of the Palliative Care Resource Nurse. Chelsey also facilitated palliative and end-of-life care courses for all nurses orienting to the Center to ensure they were well-equipped with the skills and knowledge to support patients through challenging times.
Recently, Chelsey accepted the role as a Palliative Care Nurse Navigator with Thyme Care, where she supports individuals living with cancer by coordinating care, conducting symptom assessments, and guiding patients and their families through treatment decisions and advance care planning. With a focus on compassionate communication and patient advocacy, she is dedicated to ensuring that each person receives high-quality, goal-concordant care.
Chelsey is also a mom to two beautiful children, her greatest love and purpose.
