HIGHLIGHTS
• 1.0 FTE
• Full-time academic Palliative Medicine position with a primarily outpatient practice and inpatient consultation responsibilities
• Strong focus on oncology and cancer-focused palliative care
• Join an established, collaborative team of 8 Palliative Medicine physicians and 4 Advanced Practice Providers
• Teach and mentor Hospice & Palliative Medicine fellows as part of an ACGME-accredited training program
• Participate in a shared remote call rotation with no in-house call requirements
• Opportunities for clinical research, academic scholarship, and interdisciplinary collaboration
• EPIC EMR
• Be part of an integrated nationally recognized organization with physician-led medical group and embedded service line
• Leverage access to DAX Copilot, an AI-powered clinical documentation tool integrated with Epic, streamlining clinical workflows by generating draft patient notes for efficient review, editing, and signature

ACADEMIC ENVIRONMENT
• Practice at the only NCI-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center in Western NC and collaborate with nationally recognized experts in oncology, aging, dementia, and palliative care.
• Benefit from robust opportunities for teaching, research, and interdisciplinary collaboration through the renowned J. Paul Sticht Center on Healthy Aging and Alzheimer's Prevention.

TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Graduation from an accredited medical school (M.D./D.O.).
• Completion of an accredited residency program and board certified in residency.
• Completion of a Palliative Medicine fellowship at an ACGME-accredited institution.
• Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Palliative Medicine
• Current or eligible for North Carolina Medical License
• Current DEA and DPS registration for prescription writing
