Mary Washington Healthcare’s Palliative Care practice in Fredericksburg, Virginia, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider to join our team. We are looking for energetic, compassionate, and motivated candidates that are committed to delivering exceptional patient care. Join a well-established palliative practice working alongside experienced physicians and advanced practice providers in a supportive setting.
Duties/ Responsibilities
• Direct inpatient care.
• Symptom management.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
• Supporting patients and families through complex care decisions.
• Does not require any travel to other locations.
• Accessing patients based on Palliative Care criteria on a consultation placed through the hospital.
Schedule
• Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm - (40 hrs/wk)
On Call
• On-call is a weekly rotation including the weekend. Monday through Friday from 5pm-830am, Saturday and Sunday are 24hrs. Providers are currently not required to go into the hospital; however, they do need to have full access to EPIC (EMR). Each provider starts call Friday at 5pm and ends call the following week.
This position offers a balance of independent practice and team-based support, along with structured onboarding, mentoring, and tailored training.

Qualifications
• Active NP or PA license in the state of Virginia or eligible
• AHA BLS Provider CPR required at hire
• 1 year of Advanced Practice Provider experience preferred
• Ability to work with a team and build strong working relationships with health care team members
• Demonstrate integrity, quality, adaptability, and desire to positively impact lives of our patients through compassionate care
• Successful completion of pre-placement employment evaluation
