The Palliative Medicine Division at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, within the Department of Medicine, is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our interdisciplinary team. The division comprises four advanced practitioners and five board certified palliative medicine physicians from diverse specialties including Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Geriatrics, and Neurology—along with five additional members of the interdisciplinary team who work collaboratively to provide comprehensive, patient centered care.
Our team supports an active inpatient palliative care consult service and a robust outpatient practice, caring for complex, seriously ill patients across a wide range of diagnoses. The APP in this role will work closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to provide symptom management, goals of care discussions, family support, and coordinated transitions across care settings.
The Division of Palliative Medicine supports both an ACGME accredited physician fellowship and a dedicated Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship, creating regular opportunities for APPs to participate in teaching and interdisciplinary education.
The academic environment at Mayo Clinic offers opportunities for quality improvement, research collaboration, committee participation, and organizational initiatives. Mayo Clinic’s culture emphasizes teamwork, integrated care, and access to extensive subspecialty expertise and advanced diagnostic and therapeutic resources.
During the selection process you may participate in an OnDemand (pre-recorded) interview that you can complete at your convenience. During the OnDemand interview, a question will appear on your screen, and you will have time to consider each question before responding. You will have the opportunity to re-record your answer to each question – Mayo Clinic will only see the final recording. The complete interview will be reviewed by a Mayo Clinic staff member and you will be notified of next steps.
