Description

NYU Langone Hospital–Long Island seeks a faculty Palliative Medicine physician to join our well-established and rapidly growing palliative care program within the Division of Palliative Medicine and Bioethics. Our interdisciplinary team includes board-certified palliative care physicians, specialty-certified nurse practitioners and nurses, and specialty-certified social workers. The service provides more than 1,500 inpatient consultations annually.
The Division features a robust and expanding ambulatory palliative care practice, staffed by a dedicated interdisciplinary team, and supporting the institution’s Supportive Oncology, Supportive Pulmonary, and Supportive Cardiology programs. We are also home to an ACGME-accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship program.

Position Responsibilities
• Provide inpatient and outpatient palliative medicine consultation to a clinically diverse patient population
• Participate in program development to support continued expansion of palliative services
• Contribute to education and mentorship as core faculty for the Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship and the Department of Medicine residency program
• Teaching opportunities in the NYU Grossman Long Island School of Medicine may be available
Qualifications
• Board-certified or board-eligible in Hospice and Palliative Medicine
• Demonstrated excellence in clinical care and interdisciplinary collaboration
• Commitment and potential to develop in academic, administrative, and program leadership roles
