Integrative medicine is an evidence-based, person-centered approach that addresses the full range of physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs of people living with serious illness. While palliative care and integrative medicine share many core values, including whole person care and quality of life as a central goal, integrative medicine providers often bring unique clinical practices and healing philosophies that can enhance the delivery of palliative care.
In this webinar, Lucille Marchand, MD, BSN, FAAHPM, will guide participants through key lessons palliative care clinicians can take from integrative medicine. Through clinical examples and reflective discussion, participants will explore topics such as the importance of therapeutic presence, the use of non-pharmacologic interventions, and the ways in which integrative care models address suffering beyond the biomedical lens. Attendees will leave with new insights and practical strategies for deepening their own clinical practice and team-based care.
