WHEN

  • Wednesday, September 16 2 p.m. - 3 p.m. ET

In this Interprofessional Grand Rounds, presenters will explore the emerging role of suzetrigine, a novel non‑opioid analgesic with potential to reshape acute pain management, particularly for patients with complex clinical needs. Through a real‑world case involving cancer‑related pain in a patient with opioid use disorder, participants will examine prior treatment strategies, challenges, and outcomes. Building on this clinical foundation, presenters will break down the pharmacologic profile of suzetrigine, including its mechanism of action, safety considerations, and the current evidence supporting its use in cancer‑related pain. The session concludes with a practical evaluation of where suzetrigine may fit within acute moderate to severe pain management, highlighting scenarios in which it may offer meaningful advantages over traditional options.
