The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) is a national organization dedicated to eliminating preventable kidney disease, accelerating innovation for the dignity of the patient experience, and dismantling structural inequities in kidney care, dialysis, and transplantation.Through diverse programming, NKF supports patients, nephrology professionals, and advocates to achieve its mission.

CAPC collaborates with NKF in educating nephrology professionals on palliative care and the ways in which palliative care skills and specialists can improve quality of life and cost-effectiveness. In 2025, CAPC and NKF released the popular The Case for Palliative Care in Kidney Care and continue to produce joint educational programming.
