New oral history project captures the legacy of palliative care social work leaders.

The Oral History of Palliative Social Work Project is a new, independent initiative working to document the history of palliative social work through audio and video interviews with the pioneers who helped build the specialty. From those who laid its foundational framework to those who advanced certification and fellowship development, these firsthand accounts preserve the stories, milestones, and insights that define the profession's identity. Guided by an intergenerational advisory board of social workers, the project bridges past and present, inviting reflection on where the specialty has been and where it is headed.

All interviews, historical documents, and resources are freely accessible on palliativesocialwork.org.
