Timing of Palliative Care Linked to Better Lung Cancer Survival
In a recent study published in JAMA Oncology, Donald R. Sullivan, MD, et al., found an association between early palliative care use and increased survival, for patients with advanced lung cancer within the Veteran Affairs (VA) health system. Findings from the study suggest that palliative care should be integrated early on, while undergoing disease-targeted treatment.
