Pilot Feasibility Trial of a Supportive Care Digital Application
In a randomized pilot feasibility trial, published in the Journal of Palliative Medicine, researchers tested THRIVE, a digital health app with six modules designed to help patients with advanced nonsmall cell lung cancer (NSCLC) improve their symptom management and coping with NSCLC. Although enrollment was lower than expected, most participants who used the app completed the majority of the six modules and rated it highly usable. These results support further research to evaluate THRIVE’s effectiveness in improving quality of life and psychosocial outcomes for this population.
