Online training boosted palliative care knowledge among nursing assistants, but gaps in cultural and ethical topics remain.

An article published in the Journal of Palliative Medicine found that an eight-module online training significantly improved nursing assistants’ (NAs) understanding of the psychosocial aspects of palliative care. Using a randomized controlled design, researchers saw greater gains in the intervention group, especially among NAs with higher education levels. Persistent gaps in areas such as cultural communication and ethical decision-making underscore the need for more inclusive and accessible training.
