National Academy for State Health Policy provides tracking and Medicaid coverage insights

The National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP) recently launched two key resources to help palliative care champions advance favorable policy in their state. The first is a tracker of budgetary and legislative action spanning palliative care specific and tangential activities, such as bills on advance directives or hospice and palliative care license plates. The second is a summary of state actions in Medicaid to improve payment and access to specialty palliative care services delivered in community settings. Both NASHP and CAPC are continuing to monitor developments in state policy, and disseminating ideas and lessons learned to other states.
