Stakeholders are encouraged to provide feedback on two new palliative care quality measures.

The American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine (AAHPM), in partnership with the National Coalition for Hospice and Palliative Care (NCHPC) and RAND, announced an upcoming comment period for two new palliative care quality measures. From February 1 – March 1, 2021, health care professionals, patients, and families are encouraged to provide feedback on: how much patients feel heard and understood; and how much patients get the help they wanted for pain.

NCHPC will host a free public webinar, Launching the Future of Palliative Care: Patient-Reported Experience Measures, February 1, 2021, 2:00 - 3:00 pm ET, to discuss how the measures were developed and provide more details on how stakeholders can provide input.
