New Jersey Enacts Palliative Care Law

New Jersey governor signed a bill into law that puts palliative care care front and center for patients living with a serious illness.

On August 9, 2019, Governor Phil Murphy (New Jersey) signed a bill into law that establishes a state advisory council on palliative care, and quality of life. The law requires the creation of a palliative care access initiative to make information about accessing palliative care in New Jersey more readily available to the public.
