An article published in the American Journal of Hospice and Palliative Medicine sought to evaluate resource use and health system costs of rural family caregivers during and after hospitalization. Using technology-enhanced transitional palliative care, the authors found that it is a sustainable strategy to enhance family caregiver support in rural areas.
