In a study published in Regional Anesthesia & Pain Medicine, researchers evaluated a standardized low-dose ketamine infusion therapy (KIT) protocol for adults with chronic refractory pain. Among 1,034 patients, treatment completion was high (86%), with no serious adverse events reported. Patients experienced sustained improvements in physical and mental health up to six months post-treatment, highlighting the potential role of standardized KIT protocols within comprehensive, multidisciplinary pain care.
