Concerns and Care for Health Care Colleagues during the COVID-19 Pandemic
In a new article published in Journal of Palliative Medicine (JPM), Rebecca Goett, MD, et al. propose four "care strategies" to support patients, families, and health care colleagues health care colleagues through distress during the COVID-19 pandemic. These pillars include: connection, advocating, reflection, and engagement. With the goal of increasing human connection, the suggested pillars can help palliative care clinicians with emotional resilience — for themselves, their teams, and organizations.
